Biocide＆Algaecide is effective for the control of slag and bacteria in recirculating commercial and industrial cooling water systems. It can be added to systems by addition at maximum use concentration. Biocide＆Algaecide is not lost from systems by evaporation.

【Methods of application】

Biocide＆Algaecide can be fed into systems by chemical-metering pumps, or it can be dispensed in suitable measuring containers. As a general rule, before treatment of a cooling water system clean thoroughly to remove all old algal growth, microbiologicalslime, and other deposits. The system should be drained, flushed, refilled with fresh water, and then treated regularly with biocide＆algaecide.

To control the growth of slag and bacteria on cooling towers, in heat exchangers, and in other parts of recirculating cooling water systems, biocide＆algaecide is used at concentrations of 50-150 ppm by weight in the system. However, an initial addition 100-300 ppm biocide＆algaecide, based on the total weight of water in the system, is recommended. Subsequent additions of 30-100 ppm biocide＆algaecide should be made at 1 to 5 days intervals, depending on the amount of blow down or bleed off and the severity of the microbiological fouling.

【Packing and handling】

Biocide＆Algaecide is a liquid packed in non-returnable drums. It can be handled and stored in stainless steel, glass, fiberglass-reinforced polyester, polyethylene, polypropylene, and other resistant plastics.
